Computer hardware is on the evolution fast track, with so much new technology it's hard to keep up. Current system speeds have no problem running the most advanced software. There's nothing like running 2 x 10K RPM SATA hard drives in a RAID 0 configuration to load your operating system in about 20 seconds. Or, having dual core processors with 4 GBs of DDR2 RAM allowing you to run 10 applications simultaneously including 4 Adobe and several additional Operating Systems in virtual machines. Gotta love it!

When buying a new system for your home or business, it's always a good idea to evaluate your requirements before you make a purchase. Do you have a preference to Mac or PC? Have you already purchased software that will only run on one or the other? Do you need a fast machine for gaming or one just for email and word processing? If you already have a machine, can it be upgraded? Below is a brief list of the hardware services I can perform.

- Tips -

Dust - With the internal CPU and cooling fans running non-stop, your system can collect copious amounts of dust and hair. System needs to be thoroughly blown out at least twice a year or more depending on the environment. The contaminants can clog everything which leads to the next tip.

Cooling - Hardware generates heat. Heat can cause your system to fail prematurely. Your internal components must have room for the air to circulate and remove heat. Sometimes this is just a matter of tying the cables up, sometimes you might need to re-arrange components for optimal flow.
